Love For Atlantans Here and Abroad!!

Its Valentine’s Day weekend! Those that are lucky enough to have a special someone in their lives they have been focused on showing them how much they care. For those that don’t Atlanta has so many other options that it’s hard to pick just one. Whatever the plans are this weekend what is important is showing those important people in your life that you care. So we here at the Inn at the Peachtrees want to extend a Happy Valentine’s Day to all the Mothers, Fathers, Sisters, Brothers, Wives, Husbands, Children, Grandchildren, and Friends out there!
This past week has flown by quickly for most people in Atlanta I think we all appreciated our city a bit more. We at the Inn at the Peachtrees were lucky enough to cross paths with a remarkable man named Thomas Beasley. Thomas stopped into our hotel on Tuesday afternoon and told us his story about how he has spent the last 15 years of his life bicycling back and forth across the country to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis! He lives purely off of donations of hotels and restaurants for survival. He spends a few days at a time in various town and approaches businesses for donations to this cause. He has raised almost $200,000 for the cure so far. He said he just wants to inspire people to get out there and get moving.
I was personally very inspired by his story. We Atlantans have so much to be grateful for and so much we take for granted. While the north east is getting pummeled with snow, and Earthquakes in Illinois and Haiti I’m going to have to declare I love this city a bit more than I did on Monday! So on this weekend of love when you are showing the people in your life how much you care please keep in mind that there are people that need a little bit of love sent their way and what you may be able to do to help.
